Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Applications Analyst to join our team. As an Applications Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting and maintaining computer applications and databases that are essential to our daily operations. Your expertise will help ensure the accurate and reliable functioning of these systems, which are crucial to the operation of Southwest Power Pool and its members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply business and technical support concepts to troubleshoot software issues and provide top-notch customer support.
  • Resolve application and usability problems, ensuring seamless system performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including user guides, technical notes, and training materials.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT applications administration and support.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Unix or Linux operating systems, and database management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in the utility industry.
  • Experience with security systems, camera systems, and administering server-based applications.
