Job Summary

The Senior Workstation Engineer plays a critical role in informing long-term IT infrastructure planning, engineering, and architecture across multiple systems. This individual serves as the technical lead, requiring expert proficiency in associated workstation infrastructure and systems. The Senior Workstation Engineer will work closely with Colleague Solutions leadership to establish the technical direction for the development and modification of workstation infrastructure solutions within various computing environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide insight and recommendations to inform long-term IT infrastructure planning, engineering, and architecture across multiple systems by assessing the implications of IT strategies on infrastructure capabilities.
  • Collaborate with IT business leaders, App Admin, and enterprise architects to review business drivers and define target strategies and roadmaps to IT leadership.
  • Provide on-site support of colleague technical needs, including 2nd and 3rd level technical support by creating and/or resolving standard and escalated IT support cases.
  • Work closely with technical teams to translate business requirements and functional specifications into technical requirements that support integrated and sustainable designs for designated infrastructure systems.
  • Build solutions that support the technical direction of infrastructure solutions within various computing environments by ensuring the delivery of technical solutions that meet business problems.
  • Perform systems integration testing (SIT), component integration testing (CIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT) for assigned systems.
  • Consult Colleague Solutions leadership on capital and expense budgets for the development, enhancement, and/or maintenance of designated workstation technologies.
  • Mentor junior team members, providing technical and procedural guidance in the performance of their duties and supporting team career development.
  • Consult with the Tech Ops Center and other IT teams to monitor incident trends, identify potential reoccurring issues, and serve as a technical support escalation point for Colleague Solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Typically 8+ years of work experience.
  • Apple Certified Mac Technician (ACMT) JAMF Pro expert certifications preferred.
  • MCSE - Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer Microsoft certifications preferred.
  • VMware Certified Professional Citrix certifications preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, customer service, and analytical skills.
  • Expert PC hardware troubleshooting skills.
  • Expert Apple Mac and Windows OS management.
  • Advanced Citrix administration and support skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office 365 and other standard software skills.
  • Expert Active Directory, Azure, InTune, and JAMF device management skills.
  • Advanced Networking technologies skills understanding DHCP, DNS, VLANS, TCP/IP protocols, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Expert programming or scripting skills.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices such as routers, switches, and WAPs.
  • Ability to work with networking monitoring tools.
  • A/V system design.
  • Crestron controls or similar programming experience.
  • Microsoft Teams on Surface Hub or equivalent device integration experience.
  • Microsoft Teams Room administration.
  • Cisco Webex and room system administration.

Must be able to lift 35 pounds above waist height. Some overtime may be required as projects dictate.

The salary range for this role is $66,700 to $136,100. The candidate's final salary offer will be based on the candidate's skills, education, work location, and experience. A candidate's compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet's corporate bonus plan. Additionally, subject to applicable eligibility requirements, TriNet offers permanent full-time employees a variety of benefits including medical, dental, and vision plans, life and disability insurance, a 401(K) savings plan, an employee stock purchase plan, eleven (11) Company observed holidays, PTO, and a comprehensive leave program.
