Akumen, Inc. is a leading management and technology consulting firm that specializes in serving the federal government.

We are seeking an experienced Sr. ServiceNow Developer to join our team as an Enterprise ServiceNow Consultant.

About the Job

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000-$160,000 depending on experience and location.

This role requires strong technical expertise in ServiceNow configuration, customization, and administration.

You will work closely with clients to identify and refine business processes, develop or re-engineer processes, and implement solutions using ServiceNow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide application support for the configuration, customization, and administration of the ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
  • Offer expert advice on the ITSM Product Suite, including Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, and relationships of these applications to the CMDB
  • Support the configuration of platform capabilities to include Knowledge Management, Service Request Management, and Service Portal
  • Deploy core functionality in an out-of-the-box ServiceNow system
  • Develop custom applications within ServiceNow
  • Generate workflows and integrations with the latest ServiceNow technologies
  • Generate Automated Test Framework (ATF) tests associated with code produced
  • Collaborate with agile scrum teams, supporting story point estimation, managing stories through their lifecycle, and actively participating in agile ceremonies
  • Prioritize tasks based on client need and ensure quality standards and work performance
  • Work effectively as part of a team on client engagements
  • Quickly adapt to dynamic customer environments and adjust processes to foster innovation
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in a related field
  • At least 8 years of progressively responsible experience in operations, business management, technology strategy, project management, analysis, and planning or policy development
  • Extensive knowledge of ITIL and ITSM processes
  • Familiarity with UI Builder and other recent ServiceNow technologies
  • Experience with Angular JS
  • Proven ability in problem-solving, process improvement, and change management
  • Experience configuring and administering ServiceNow
  • Strong interpersonal and team orientation skills in working with various levels of technical and business-oriented individuals

Desired Qualifications:

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
  • CMDB Fundamentals
  • Certified Implementation Specialist in: Discovery, Service Mapping, or ITSM
  • Prior experience governing ServiceNow Instances
  • Prior experience in a consulting environment, preferably within the public sector
