We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist IV to join our team at Atrium Health. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and maintaining a safe work environment in the operating room.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in preparing patients for surgery, including obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments.
- Apply advanced surgical technology skills to ensure quality patient care during procedures.
- Monitor and maintain aseptic technique and sterile fields throughout the surgical process.
- Collaborate with Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in educational opportunities to increase competency and meet personal and professional goals.
- Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology or successful completion of a military training program.
- Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification.
- 5 years of total operating room experience in a surgical technologist role, with 2 years of specialized training in neurosurgery, spine, cardiothoracic, vascular, complex orthopedics, or robotics.
- Certification in a specialized area of surgical technology.
- Experience in a leadership or preceptor role.
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional intermittent noise and exposure to conditions such as dust, fumes, and chemicals. The ability to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds is also required.
