Role Summary

At Blackburn's Physicians Pharmacy, we continuously strive to enhance our team by incorporating top-tier talent. We are currently in search of a Customer Care Associate to address the needs of our clients. Under general supervision, the Customer Care Associate is tasked with the efficient management of patient accounts, coordination of service scheduling, upkeep of patient records, and preparation of delivery documentation. This role involves direct interaction with clients, addressing inquiries, and resolving any issues that may arise. The ideal candidate enjoys engaging with individuals and is proactive in problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage incoming orders via phone, web portal, and fax in accordance with departmental protocols.
  • Respond to all inquiries promptly, ensuring the highest level of service for clients and referral sources.
  • Gather and input all necessary demographic information accurately.
  • Document infectious disease information as per established guidelines.
  • Input all relevant data into the computer system as required.
  • Complete necessary intake forms and patient setups, including insurance verifications and medical documentation.
  • Provide accurate coding to healthcare providers and obtain medical necessity documentation for specialized products.
  • Assist with equipment requests and troubleshoot issues as needed.
  • Verify that all return orders contain the required information and signatures.
  • Maintain an organized library of insurance guidelines and product information.
  • Educate referral sources through various communication methods.
  • Conduct customer satisfaction surveys as requested.
  • Document all customer complaints in the system.
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks as directed by management.

Continuing Education
  • Participate in departmental training sessions as designated.
  • Stay updated with industry literature and resources.
  • Attend workshops and seminars as needed.
