Job Overview: We are looking for a proficient and customer-oriented IT Support Specialist to deliver effective technical support on computer systems. The responsibilities of the IT Support Specialist encompass resolving user inquiries related to hardware, software, and networking challenges, managing, maintaining, and upgrading computer systems and peripherals, and instructing users on fundamental hardware and software operations. The ideal candidate possesses a solid understanding of computer systems and network functionalities, along with a meticulous attention to detail. The objective is to establish and uphold updated and efficient computer systems and networks to enhance the role of technology in business sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resolve user inquiries related to hardware, software, and networking.
  • Guide customers through the installation of applications and computer peripherals.
  • Install, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot printers, computer hardware, and authorized peripheral devices.
  • Conduct general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, printers, and other authorized peripheral devices.
  • Diagnose and rectify software, hardware, and network issues.
  • Engage with various computer platforms in a multi-layered client-server environment.
  • Ensure seamless interconnectivity of desktop computers with diverse systems, including associated validation systems, file servers, email servers, computer conferencing systems, application servers, and administrative systems.
  • Assist in the creation and upkeep of user manuals and guidelines.
  • Identify and report system issues to vendors, and monitor and test solutions to ensure effective resolution of problems.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as an IT Support Specialist or in a similar capacity.
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, hardware, and networking.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to articulate technical issues and solutions in a clear and comprehensible manner.
  • A/V support experience is a significant advantage.
