OVERVIEW
Under direct supervision, the Client Support Specialist is tasked with accurately processing customer requests and managing incoming client communications.

SALARY
$21.00 / hour

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Addresses fundamental customer inquiries regarding products, provides estimates, and manages order processing.
  • Facilitates customer orders through various channels including phone, fax, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Affects the gross profit of Genuine Parts Company by negotiating sales and purchase prices within established guidelines.
  • May modify non-contract pricing for customers based on competitive analysis while optimizing profitability for Genuine Parts Company.
  • Cultivates customer relationships to encourage repeat business by understanding customer needs and driving process enhancements.
  • Ensures adequate inventory levels for customers by placing orders as necessary.
  • Has the authority to place orders without prior approval for transactions up to $5,000 per line and $10,000 per total order.
  • Responsible for sourcing products from branch inventory, distribution centers, or supplier stock.
  • Evaluates the most cost-effective shipping options for customer orders.
  • Collaborates with Account Representatives to guarantee customer satisfaction.
  • Expedites backorders and may prepare inventory for shipment to clients.
  • May assist with customer returns.
  • Performs additional tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:


Typically requires a high school diploma or GED and zero (0) to three (3) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination.


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Dependability, organizational skills, and attention to detail are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Moderate computer proficiency, including information processing, internal and external communication via email, and utilizing business systems to locate products online.
  • Familiarity with product knowledge is advantageous.
