Job Summary

Catholic Charities Family Community Services is seeking a skilled Client Support Specialist to provide non-medical, in-home support services to program participants and support to office staff and case managers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide housekeeping or shopping services to clients, including making and changing beds, dusting, vacuuming, light cleaning of kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, dishwashing, and preparing light meals.
  • Supervise clients (respite for caregivers) and monitor their safety.
  • Maintain accurate activity records and follow established procedures and policies for programs.
  • Complete case notes electronically and keep accurate mileage and timesheet records.
  • Utilize web-based client database for client information and recording of units of service.
  • Support department operations, including administrative tasks such as copying, faxing, organizing, and chart maintenance.
  • Assist with department meetings and events, and participate in relevant Agency meetings and/or trainings.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
  • Valid and clean NYS Drivers License.
  • One year of experience in human services required, with experience in geriatrics preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish, Burmese, Karen, Nepali, Somali, or Arabic) desirable.
