The MathWorks Inc is seeking a skilled engineer to join our Consulting Services team as a Physics-Based Modeling and Simulation Engineer. In this role, you will help our customers in various industries become proficient in the use of Simulink, Simscape, and associated tools to model physical systems and design controls, capturing mechanics and dynamics in support of their product and control design workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead consulting engagements and deliver technical services to customers, focusing on enabling modeling and simulation of complex dynamic systems.
  • Deliver consulting services to key customers to facilitate the adoption of modeling and simulation techniques, including electrical systems, power electronics, fluids, and hydraulic systems, and multibody dynamics.
  • Understand the customer's development processes and engineering challenges, and collaborate with account teams to articulate the value of modeling and simulation.
  • Conceive, prototype, and evaluate potential solution strategies, and work independently and in teams to ensure customer enablement and success.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience, or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree, or equivalent experience, are required.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without restriction.
  • Experience in system-level modeling and simulation, MATLAB, Simulink, and Simscape for modeling physical systems is highly desirable.
  • Flexibility to work on multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and travel based on business needs is essential.
