About the Role

MathWorks is seeking a skilled engineer to join our Consulting Services team as a Physics-Based Modeling and Simulation Engineer. In this role, you will work with customers across various industries to help them become self-sufficient in using Simulink, Simscape, and associated tools for modeling physical systems and designing controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Consulting Engagements: Deliver technical services to customers, focusing on enabling modeling and simulation of multidomain dynamic systems, including electrical systems and power electronics, fluids and hydraulic systems, and multibody systems.
  • Deliver Consulting Services: Collaborate with account teams to articulate the value of modeling and simulation, build tool adoption and implementation plans, and conceive, prototype, and evaluate potential solution strategies.
  • Understand Customer Needs: Work with customers to understand their development processes and engineering challenges, ensuring effective customer enablement and success.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work both independently and in teams to ensure customer success, prioritizing and multi-tasking based on changing business and external demands.
Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen due to the nature of customer applications in the Defense sector.
  • Experience: 6 years of professional work experience in system-level modeling and simulation, with experience in MATLAB and Simulink, and Simscape for modeling physical systems.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel based on business needs, approximately 25% of the time.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience, or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without restriction.
  • Visa Sponsorship: Visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
