Job Summary

This is an entry-level position that reports to the HR/EHS Manager and is responsible for ensuring that the Magna Employee's Charter and the Magna Culture are practiced, encouraged, and followed at the Magna Mirrors South Carolina facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • HR Administration: Performs the following HR activities: preparation of job postings, maintenance of requisitions, assists with internal and external searches, schedules interviews, may participate in the interview process, preparation of employment offers and related paperwork, and assists with the orientation and on-board processes.
  • Time and Attendance Administration: Assists with time and attendance administration, payroll corrections, setting up and maintaining employees in the HRIS system.
  • Employee Records: Ensures effective and accurate administration of employee records.
  • Training and Development: Assists with the development and facilitation of HR-related training.
  • Performance Management: Assists with performance management activities (i.e. distribution of performance evaluations, tracking completion, etc.).
  • Policy Development: Participates in the development and updating of company policies, procedures, and employee handbook.
Requirements
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with employees.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written.
  • Demonstrated positive performance record, strong dependability with a proved attendance record.
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to interpret data for corrective actions.
  • Conducts business activities in a professional manner with neutrality and fairness at all times.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with objectivity and discretion; high personal standard of integrity mandatory.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. as needed.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must maintain proper vision requirements.
  • Must be able to maintain alertness to their surroundings.
