Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Territory Sales Representative to join our team at US Foods, Inc. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our customers in the foodservice industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with customers in a team-based selling model.
  • Manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department, troubleshoot any problems that occur during the order process, and communicate with customers as necessary.
  • Collect accounts receivable as necessary, working with the credit department and clients, and collect all balances due based on approved credit terms.
  • Develop new business by leveraging market intelligence databases, business directories, existing client leads, and attending trade shows and conferences.
  • Stay up-to-date on market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales, and share information with customers as part of value-added services provided.
  • Drive a motor vehicle to existing customers and prospects to ensure product delivery, which may include lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds.
Requirements
  • 1+ year of sales experience preferred.
  • Foodservice industry, culinary, restaurant management, or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Competitive spirit and results-driven mentality.
  • Problem-solving ability, organization, and negotiation skills.
  • Team-oriented mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office products, and experience using customer relationship management tools preferred.
