Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team at Martin-Brower. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient processing and maintenance of Accounts Payable transactions in North America.
Key Responsibilities- Root Cause Analysis: Perform thorough analysis of payment issues and identify preventive steps to eliminate reoccurrence.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze assigned General Ledger accounts, recommending preventive measures to prevent future variances.
- Communication: Effectively communicate Company financial practices and policies with employees, management, and suppliers/vendors to resolve invoice issues/discrepancies.
- Training and Development: Assist in preparing and presenting training sessions for Associates and other departments.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements in the payables process.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience: 0-1+ years of business experience in a multi-million dollar, high-volume transaction financial setting, preferably in Accounts Payable.
- Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and lead a small group.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience leading training sessions and conducting presentations.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with experience utilizing formulas and pivot tables for analysis.
