Key Responsibilities:
Independently provides a range of administrative services to the designated unit.


Processes medical orders and collaborates with various departments to arrange patient tests and appointments, facilitating timely diagnoses and treatment.

Required to communicate and coordinate with other facilities for scheduling appointments, tests, and patient transfers.


May oversee telemetry readings for significant changes in fetal or cardiac rhythms, interpreting data and alerting nursing staff to critical arrhythmias.

Administrative Support Specialists are tasked with monitoring vital signs such as blood pressure and oxygen saturation, promptly reporting any changes to the relevant nursing personnel.

Accurately records essential patient information and rhythm strips in the clinical documentation.

Assists with fundamental patient daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, transferring, and eating.

Serves as a central point of communication for both internal and external customer service.

Executes computer operations with precision and efficiency, maintaining records of admissions, discharges, and transfers.

Responsible for precise billing and charge entry.

Qualifications:
Must possess the ability to read and write sufficiently to follow detailed procedures and perform basic arithmetic.

Knowledge of office procedures and equipment is essential.

Ability to read telemetry monitor strips and interpret critical arrhythmic conditions is required.

Familiarity with basic medical terminology is necessary.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Preferred candidates will have six to twelve months of clinical or clerical experience in an acute care environment, along with at least three months of experience as a nursing assistant or ward clerk.

  • Full-Time
