ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will be expected to maintain a comprehensive understanding of the policies and procedures of the Bureau of Community Health Systems (BCHS) and the Department of Health (DOH). Your duties will include:
- Providing information and referrals regarding DOH programs to the public.
- Offering clerical support to professional staff.
- Managing and disseminating communications from the State Health Center.
- Submitting case reports and maintaining data in the Statewide Immunization Information System in accordance with DOH guidelines.
- Assisting in the onboarding process for new clerical staff to ensure sufficient clerical coverage.

WORK SCHEDULE AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Full-time position.
- Standard working hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break.
- Salary: The starting salary may be non-negotiable in certain instances.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Experience and Training:
- Six months of experience as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
- High school graduation; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
- Must meet the Pennsylvania residency requirement.
- Ability to perform essential job functions is necessary.
Legal Requirements:
- Successful completion of a background investigation is mandatory.
