Job Purpose

In the role of Talent Acquisition Consultant, you will play a crucial part in identifying and securing essential talent to support our ongoing mission. You will provide strategic recruitment guidance to align with the current and future workforce needs of the organization. This position operates on a hybrid model, collaborating closely with local teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement comprehensive talent acquisition strategies to ensure a diverse and qualified candidate pool for open roles and anticipated talent needs.
  • Source both passive and active candidates through various channels, ensuring that high-quality individuals are recruited for each position.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition Partners to assess business resourcing needs and execute the Workforce Plan effectively.
  • Build strong relationships with business units to understand their requirements and develop robust candidate pipelines.
  • Work within the team to create engaging marketing campaigns, enhance employee referral programs, and leverage social media for outreach.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to candidate sourcing, including resume reviews, outreach to potential candidates, and participation in career events.
  • Conduct thorough candidate screenings using behavioral and competency-based interview techniques, providing hiring managers with a curated shortlist of candidates.
  • Understand and communicate National Grid's Vision, Business Model, and Employee Value Proposition to engage potential candidates effectively.
  • Coordinate with relevant resources to implement pre-hire assessments as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with OFCCP and all relevant Federal, State, and Local regulations while maintaining accurate records in the applicant tracking system.
  • Engage in community outreach activities, including career fairs and diversity hiring initiatives, to promote National Grid's brand and commitment to inclusion.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required; advanced degrees in Human Resources are preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a recruitment role is essential.
  • Experience in recruiting for various positions across different levels, including engineering and project management roles.
  • Proficiency in Success Factors or similar Applicant Tracking Systems is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and compliance regulations is necessary.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
