Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Property Accountant to join our team at Roessel Joy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements for the property portfolio, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
  • Manage and coordinate the recording, reimbursement and related inter company/payroll entries for all the Rose managed properties.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external and internal clients/stakeholders through regular engagement and strategic communication.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, government filings, tax regulations, and internal policies related to property accounting.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance efficiency, and implement best practices across the property accounting function.
  • Manage and mentor a team of property accountants, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional development.
  • Communicate financial performance, insights, and recommendations to senior management, investors, and other stakeholders as required.
  • Coordinate audits and due diligence processes related to property financials, ensuring readiness and compliance.
  • Evaluate and implement accounting software and tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of property accounting processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in property accounting or real estate finance, with a track record of progressive responsibility.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations relevant to property accounting, including GAAP and tax laws.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques specific to property management.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
