A forward-thinking accounting professional is sought to lead the property portfolio at Roessel Joy, a dynamic healthcare/non-profit organization. This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage expertise in financial analysis and team management to drive business growth and success.

About the Role

The successful candidate will report directly to the controller and oversee a team of accountants. Key responsibilities include preparing and analyzing financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and managing intercompany/payroll entries. Strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders are essential, as well as compliance with relevant accounting standards and government regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements for the property portfolio, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage and coordinate the recording, reimbursement, and related intercompany/payroll entries for all Rose managed properties.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external and internal clients/stakeholders through regular engagement and strategic communication.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, government filings, tax regulations, and internal policies related to property accounting.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance efficiency, and implement best practices across the property accounting function.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in property accounting or real estate finance, with a track record of progressive responsibility.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations relevant to property accounting, including GAAP and tax laws.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques specific to property management.
