Your Role:

As an Application Security Analyst II, you will serve as a key advocate for security, tasked with bolstering and advancing Frost's application security initiatives. Your role will involve collaborating with fellow application security analysts and development teams to seamlessly integrate security measures throughout the software development lifecycle. You will thrive in a cooperative atmosphere, unafraid to question the status quo.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Detect application security vulnerabilities and collaborate with development teams to address identified weaknesses.
  • Conduct risk assessments and engage in threat modeling to ascertain the necessary controls.
  • Investigate and assess tools, technologies, processes, and standards essential for enhancing application security.
  • Propose enhancements to policies and procedures governing the application security program.
  • Facilitate relevant security training for application development personnel.
  • Act as an application security advisor on software development project teams, advising management on IT security considerations.
  • Collect metrics and assist in developing metrics to drive process improvement initiatives for application security.
  • Consistently act with Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT Security, a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Software Development, Application Security, or IT Operations, with at least 1 year focused on Application Security.
  • Comprehensive understanding of server-side and client-side security challenges.
  • Familiarity with common vulnerabilities outlined in the OWASP Top 10 and secure coding practices to mitigate these risks.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications such as CSSLP and Security+.
  • Knowledge of application security maturity models like OWASP, SAMM, or BSIMM.
  • Experience with both Waterfall and Agile development methodologies.
  • Expertise in evaluating API and microservices security controls.
