Objective and Overview:

The Project Manager is accountable for the effective coordination and delivery of detailed work packages, which encompass comprehensive job planning, material requisitioning, and scheduling pertinent to task orders, repairs, and maintenance operations.

The job plans must be articulated at a level comprehensible to skilled technicians, ensuring sufficient detail for efficient scheduling and execution of tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the accurate planning and estimation of labor hours for Work Orders received within the Workload Management sector.
  • Interpret detailed schematics to generate labor estimates and material takeoffs.
  • Facilitate coordination of tasks during the planning phase with various crafts, engineering teams, and work requesters.
  • Create comprehensive schedules, material requirement lists, and production plans for established workflows.
* Identify, coordinate, and/or initiate procurement of all necessary materials and specialized tools essential for executing Work Order tasks.

  • Conduct field investigations and engage with clients to ascertain job conditions, specific requirements, and scope of work.
  • Confirm the availability and receipt of resources, outages, access, permits, and materials prior to submission for scheduling.
  • Coordinate outages (including dates and duration) with Outage Coordinators and manage access to work areas through Facility Managers.
  • Assist in the preparation of near-term schedules in collaboration with Planning/Scheduling teams.
  • Develop and disseminate project schedules and material requirements.
  • Adhere to weekly work schedules and communicate progress and potential challenges.
  • Provide management with insights regarding issues such as cost overruns, design modifications, and backlogs.
  • Manage all documentation when scope changes arise as identified by field personnel.
  • Prepare detailed scope change requests using established forms for submission.
  • Offer technical support as needed by shop personnel.
*Execute all other related duties as assigned or requested.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and

Abilities Required:


  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's Degree, or 5 years with a Bachelor's Degree, or 10 years of relevant experience in a related field.
*Exceptional written communication skills; strong organizational abilities and attention to detail are essential.

*Experience in mechanical/civil construction and facility upgrades/modifications is required.

*Proficiency in CAD, Microsoft Planning, and RS Means Cost works is necessary.

*Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance is mandatory.
