Job Overview

As an Associate Manager of People and Culture, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience at Avocados from Mexico. This is a full generalist role that requires a wide range of HR skills and expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the project lifecycle of HR goals, projects, and initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
  • Oversee benefits administration and open enrollment processes, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Lead projects across the employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, benefits, employee engagement, compensation, leadership development, and training.
  • Analyze and present people data and analytics to inform business decisions.
  • Manage budget forecasting and tracking for the HR department and annual training budget.
  • Support the Culture Committee and lead Fun Times initiatives, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with employees through various channels, ensuring clear and timely information exchange.
  • Update attendance and budget records for the training and development program.
  • Assist with internal and external HR inquiries and requests, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Support new hire procedures, including employee orientation, file maintenance, and paperwork administration.
  • Identify and attract top talent, creating an inclusive environment that promotes engagement and a sense of belonging.
  • Contribute to Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion initiatives, driving a culture of inclusivity.
  • Provide administrative support to the People and Culture department, including record-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS data entry.
  • Conduct audits of training, benefits, or other HR programs, ensuring compliance and best practices.
  • Assist with performance review preparation, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Research and negotiate with vendors to secure the best value, then process and manage contracts.
  • Develop and implement special projects to improve processes and enhance the employee experience.
  • Schedule, organize, and execute company events, meetings, interviews, and HR events, maintaining agendas with internal and external partners.
  • Collaborate with the Finance department to handle billing expenses, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Work closely with HR leadership and the Safety Committee to ensure compliance and resolve issues.
  • Facilitate the success of events hosted by the company, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Contribute to achieving HR department goals, objectives, and system updates, staying up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of HR experience, with a Bachelor's degree required.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Polished presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
