Job Summary

This role reports to a Risk Policy Senior Group Manager in the Global Retail Policy and Strategic Initiatives team in Global Independent Credit Risk Management. The Senior Risk Management Specialist will lead strategic risk management initiatives, perform ad-hoc analytical projects, and prepare materials for senior managers and regulators. The role requires close collaboration with business, risk, and operations teams across all businesses and functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic initiatives and conduct analyses on a global and portfolio basis pertaining to unsecured portfolio oversight, governance, and associated processes.
  • Coordinate and prepare materials for review by risk management seniors, regulators, and the Citi Board of Directors.
  • Maintain various policy-related processes and design and implement incremental processes as needed to monitor adherence to Retail Credit Risk Policy (RCR).
  • Participate in program, process, or product reviews to identify best practices and/or policy gaps.
  • Assist in revising RCR as needed as part of assigned strategic initiatives.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in retail credit risk management, preferably with multiple retail lending products and functions across the full consumer credit life cycle.
  • Strong analytic skills required. Candidates with knowledge of Tableau and other Business Intelligence platforms are preferred.
  • Familiarity with Citi systems (e.g., Pearl, Genesis, Retail Optima) and Retail Credit Risk Policy are strong plusses.
  • Ability to digest and synthesize disparate data and prioritize and drive results.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and with short deadlines and little supervision or direction must be self-motivated and eager to engage.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, risk and financial analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership with a strong work ethic.
  • Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree preferred. Ideally in a quantitative field (e.g., economics, finance, mathematics, engineering).
