Job Overview

The Sales Route Representative is instrumental in fostering business relationships with clients and is committed to fulfilling their needs and expectations. Engages with key decision-makers to gather valuable customer insights and leverages this information to enhance product offerings and services. Focuses on maximizing sales opportunities while maintaining a strong emphasis on customer retention through an ownership mindset.

Key Responsibilities

? Achieve sales targets and drive overall route expansion, service agreement renewals, and customer loyalty to boost market center profitability.
? Identify and pursue opportunities to generate new business and elevate revenue by introducing new products to existing clients and acquiring new accounts.
? Develop and sustain effective and respectful relationships with clients, delivering exceptional customer service with an ownership mentality.
? Prioritize customer retention and proactively seek ways to enhance accounts by being the primary point of contact for all customer inquiries and opportunities.
? Ensure safe loading and unloading of products, timely delivery of the correct items and quantities, proper stocking, product rotation, and maintenance of all equipment.
? Operate the company vehicle safely and courteously, adhering to traffic regulations.
? Conduct daily preventative maintenance checks on the vehicle and maintain a clean, organized, and safe interior. Comply with all DOT regulations.
? Manage appropriate inventory levels at customer sites, ensuring quality and functionality.
? Responsible for accurate daily accounting of all cash and products in line with established protocols.
? Exhibit attentive listening and effective communication skills, especially in challenging situations, through internal and external communication channels.
? Collaborate with management and team members regarding customer matters and report any emerging issues or competitor activities.

Qualifications

? 1-2 years of experience in a role involving significant public interaction.
? High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
? Valid driver's license and ability to obtain DOT certification for operating regulated vehicles.
? Strong communication skills with clients and operational staff.
? Ability to adapt quickly to changing demands.
? Proficient or trainable in product sales to customers.
? Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
? Acceptable driving record in accordance with CMV policy and valid driver's license.
? Client interaction, communication, and time management skills are crucial for success in this role.
? Ability to work independently and efficiently is essential.
