Clinical Nurse II

Job Summary:
UNC Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse II to join our Medical Observation Unit team. As a Clinical Nurse II, you will provide competent clinical nursing care to adult observation patients with a variety of medical diagnoses.
Responsibilities:
- Provides direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitors and reports patient status to the Nurse Manager/Director and other healthcare team members.
- Participates in education and training programs to maintain and improve clinical skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
- One (1) year of nursing experience.
Work Environment:
The Medical Observation Unit is a 25-bed unit that provides care to adult observation patients with a variety of medical diagnoses. The unit is open 7 days a week and 24 hours a day.
