Position Overview:
As a key member of the Alumni Affairs and Development team, the Marketing Specialist for University Planned Giving will collaborate closely with fundraising and administrative colleagues to enhance donor engagement and optimize marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Strategy Support: Assist the Senior Associate Director of Marketing in implementing effective marketing strategies aimed at generating new leads for planned gifts. This includes utilizing various channels such as direct mail, email campaigns, social media, and digital advertisements.
  • Data Management: Facilitate data requests to create targeted mailing and email lists, ensuring precise marketing outreach under the guidance of the Senior Associate Director.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside University Planned Giving Development Assistants and fundraising teams to monitor new leads and confirmed gifts, while managing a budget tracker for marketing-related projects.
  • CRM Input: Enter data into the Alumni Affairs and Development's customer relationship management system, providing essential data entry support for frontline fundraisers as required.
  • Event Assistance: Support University Planned Giving events by staffing in-person or virtual gatherings, preparing briefings for senior leaders, and tracking attendee feedback.
  • Data Analysis: Collaborate with the Senior Associate Director of Marketing and the Executive Director of University Planned Giving to leverage reporting tools and data analysis for comprehensive fundraising strategies.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate positive relationships with colleagues across various departments to facilitate successful marketing and data analysis projects.
  • Internal Communications: Help raise the profile of University Planned Giving through internal communications, training sessions, and resource sharing with fundraising staff.
  • Dynamic Work Environment: Adapt to changing priorities and work both independently and as part of a team, upholding the values of respect, inclusion, and excellence.
