Essential Responsibilities

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for conducting routine maintenance, repairs, replacements, and troubleshooting on various models of Hyster-Yale forklifts and other competitive material handling equipment.

This includes working on various fuel systems, drivetrains, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems.
Experienced technicians will also play a key role in mentoring and training apprentice technicians through hands-on guidance.
Adhere to all safety protocols while performing tasks and comply with company policies.
Accurately identify and procure necessary replacement parts.
Safely operate the service vehicle, maintaining cleanliness and security while following all required safety regulations.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications
• High school diploma, G.E.D., or technical school graduate preferred
• Proven ability to repair equipment based on skill level
• Basic knowledge of computer/tablet systems (both Microsoft and Apple)
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required throughout employment
• Exceptional customer service skills are essential
Language Skills
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety guidelines, operating instructions, and maintenance manuals. Proficient in writing routine correspondence.
Mathematical Skills

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages, and perform basic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Understanding of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability

• Ability to solve practical problems and manage a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.

Capable of interpreting various instructions provided in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule formats.
Physical Demands

In the course of performing job duties, employees are regularly required to stand, walk, use hands for handling or feeling, reach with hands and arms, and communicate verbally or audibly.

Employees may occasionally need to climb, balance, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and may be required to taste or smell. Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or moving of items up to 25 pounds is expected.

Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Employees must operate equipment safely.
Work Environment

While performing job duties, depending on the location, employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and equipment.

Occasional exposure to high or precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, and vibrations may occur.

Employees may also face exposure to wet or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme temperatures, and electrical hazards.

Noise levels in some work environments may be loud.
