We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our team at Comfort Systems USA Southeast. As an HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing service and maintenance tasks on commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Service and Maintenance Tasks: Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on commercial and industrial HVAC equipment, including split systems, packaged rooftop units, heat pumps, and other mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and Repair Equipment: Identify and repair issues with HVAC equipment, including electrical control systems and pneumatic systems.
- Complete Electronic Documentation: Use a handheld device to complete required electronic documentation daily.
- Work Independently and as Part of a Team: Work independently and as part of a team to complete assigned tasks within an allotted time frame.
- 10+ Years of Experience: 10 or more years of experience in installation, repairing, and troubleshooting commercial HVAC equipment.
- Preferred Experience: Preferred experience with RTU, air handlers, split systems, chilled water, or boiler systems.
- Certifications: EPA Universal certification and OSHA 10 certification (the company will provide if needed).
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead a small crew of technicians and/or assist with technical questions.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a full background, pre-employment drug screen & MVR.
- Company Safety Policy: Complies and promotes company Safety Policy.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Independence: Must be able to work independently with and without supervision.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand, squat, bend, stoop, and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs.
- Blueprints and Schematics: Familiarity with blueprints, schematics, drawings, and other equipment layout materials.
