We cater to professional homebuilders, contractors, and commercial builders from various locations.
Position Summary:
The Glass Install and Service Lead is responsible for overseeing the activities of Glass Install and Service Technicians. This role combines hands-on work with leadership responsibilities, ensuring that the installation and service processes are executed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow directives from management regarding the installation of materials.
- Collaborate with fellow installers to complete assigned projects.
- Adhere to manufacturer guidelines and warranty stipulations during installations.
- Accurately track time and materials for each project.
- Maintain equipment in optimal condition and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Operate all tools and machinery safely and responsibly.
- Uphold company policies and procedures.
- Deliver exceptional customer service.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new technologies and installation methods.
- Engage in cross-training to broaden skills and knowledge.
Leadership Criteria:
- Direct the work of a small team of fewer than 10 associates.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities effectively.
- Demonstrate expertise in advanced installation and service processes.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Experience: Prior experience in glass installation is preferred, along with 1-3 years in access control gate and fencing installation/service.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in using measuring tools and other necessary equipment for installations.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work collaboratively.
- Availability for overtime as required.
- Excellent teamwork and customer relationship skills.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent standing, walking, and lifting.
- Constant handling, pushing, pulling, and climbing.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures and humidity.
Travel Requirements:
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
