Accounting Manager

As a pivotal member of our finance team, you will be instrumental in facilitating the monthly financial close process, executing corporate consolidations, and managing joint venture account reconciliations. Your expertise will also support ongoing audit requirements, regulatory examinations, and the preparation of financial statements and ad-hoc tax reporting requests.
Key Responsibilities
- Take charge of documenting advance-related transactions and operational servicing activities.
- Generate various journal entries and ensure adherence to monthly close timelines through innovative automation.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations for both critical and non-critical servicing-related assets and liabilities.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reporting materials required for SEC, statutory, and compliance reporting.
- Maintain and update spreadsheet models and reports integral to the accounting workflow.
- Comprehend process flows and recognize how your contributions impact the broader organizational objectives.
- Engage collaboratively with our business partners in Servicing, Capital Markets, and Treasury to address challenges and enhance efficiencies.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors and examiners to deliver precise, comprehensive, and timely information.
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory.
A minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience is essential.
Experience in the Banking, Mortgage, or Financial Services sectors is advantageous.
Public accounting experience is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
Experience with SQL is necessary.
