The Restaurant Manager at Arva, part of Aman New York by F&B 575, is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the restaurant while exceeding guest expectations in both product quality and service excellence.

Compensation: This role offers an annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $85,000.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate the welcoming, seating, and departure of guests with a professional demeanor.
  • Recruit, train, and schedule restaurant personnel.
  • Handle administrative tasks including scheduling, payroll, and inventory management.
  • Conduct inspections throughout the restaurant to uphold service standards.
  • Address guest inquiries and coordinate special requests.
  • Enforce company policies and established guidelines.
  • Communicate and implement new menu items and promotional events.
  • Assist guests with questions and provide information as needed.
  • Offer leadership and support to all food and beverage staff.
  • Participate in all assigned meetings and training sessions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely communication of guest information to relevant hotel staff.
  • Maintain a detailed record of guest preferences in food and beverage.
  • Additional responsibilities include:
    • Creating monthly and weekly forecasts.
    • Completing payroll for the department.
    • Assigning special events and group deliveries to management staff.
    • Attending all relevant hotel and food & beverage meetings.
    • Updating and developing menus as necessary.
    • Revising departmental standards and procedures as needed.
    • Assisting in the preparation and distribution of daily reports.
  • Welcome all guests, colleagues, and clients in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Efficiently manage inquiries and reservations to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Encourage team spirit and commitment among staff.
  • Ensure team members adhere to grooming standards.
  • Share insights, best practices, and challenges with the team, fostering collaborative decision-making.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by hotel management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a luxury hotel or similar restaurant environment.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
  • Positive, engaging, and energetic demeanor.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and comprehensive service knowledge.
  • Good understanding of food preparation, wine, and spirits.
  • Culturally sensitive and aware.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure with various stakeholders.
  • Maintain a professional appearance in line with company policies.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods.
  • Multilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Possession of TIPS and Food Handler's Certification.
