Position Overview

This is a full-time, on-site position for a Construction Superintendent who will be required to travel to various job sites as necessary. The Construction Traveling Superintendent will oversee construction activities, ensure safety compliance, coordinate project tasks, manage budgets, and facilitate project execution.

  • Assist in creating the overall Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule and oversee its implementation throughout the construction phase, including the preparation and maintenance of a 2-3 week look-ahead schedule.
  • Generate essential reports (Daily Reports, Time Sheets, Work Orders).
  • Develop and uphold the site logistics plan for each project.
  • Conduct constructability assessments.
  • Lead daily meetings with subcontractors and tradespeople on-site.
  • Facilitate foreman meetings.
  • Possess knowledge of construction methods and verify adherence to plans, specifications, and construction tolerances.
  • Issue and track Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and as-built documentation.
  • Manage the safety program for the project.
  • Implement quality control initiatives.
  • Document and resolve all punch list items promptly.
  • Schedule, conduct, and oversee city and deputy inspections.

Required Qualifications

  • Expertise in Construction Site Management, Safety Protocols, and Organizational Skills.
  • Proficient in Budgeting and Project Management.
  • Strong communication and leadership capabilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Bi-lingual candidates are preferred.
  • Advanced customer service skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
  • Adept at defining objectives, understanding diverse audiences, leading productive meetings, and fostering team morale.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related discipline is preferred.
  • 5-8 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Experience managing projects valued over $30 million.
  • Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam, and mobile technology.
  • Experience with construction projects, mechanical/electrical systems, building materials, rough carpentry, and high-end finishes.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications, blueprints, manuals, and engineering/architectural drawings.
  • Familiarity with building codes and regulations.
  • OSHA 30 certification is mandatory.
  • Previous experience in hotel renovations and tenant improvements is advantageous.
