Job Overview

Dowbuilt is seeking a Construction Service Supervisor to assist our service superintendents with various projects throughout the region. This role is pivotal in executing a range of tasks within client-occupied, upscale residences, ensuring the highest quality standards in the industry. Our service supervisors are skilled professionals who excel in communication, effective time management across multiple assignments, and collaboration with diverse stakeholders both within and outside the organization.

Key Responsibilities

As a Construction Service Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering all assigned tasks with exceptional workmanship and quality; working closely with superintendents, designers, and clients to create and implement effective solutions.
  • Conducting routine preventative maintenance to guarantee the smooth operation of our clients' homes.
  • Identifying and addressing areas requiring repair; performing inspections and diagnosing issues as necessary.
  • Overseeing and supporting subcontractors to ensure safe practices, productivity, and quality workmanship.
  • Managing the performance and conduct of subcontractors on-site.
  • Maintaining a safe, secure, clean, and organized work environment; ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored; safeguarding the privacy and security of our clients and their information at all times.
  • Planning and organizing the weekly schedule; keeping an updated calendar and identifying personal schedule gaps in advance; proactively communicating with superintendents to ensure adequate workload.
  • Acquiring materials and supplies for service projects; submitting material orders with the appropriate job numbers.
  • Preparing daily field reports detailing hours worked and summarizing the service tasks completed.
  • Building and nurturing professional and personal relationships within the construction industry.
  • Cleaning and maintaining the company service vehicle.

Qualifications for Success

To thrive as a Construction Service Supervisor at Dowbuilt, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in residential construction (high-end preferred).
  • OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid certifications; a strong focus on safety and security for yourself, employees, and clients.
  • A solid understanding of:
    • All aspects of carpentry.
    • Building codes and permit regulations.
    • Operation and basic troubleshooting of home mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
    • Fine finish care and maintenance techniques.
    • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), web-based applications (e.g., Smartsheet, Insightly, ShareFile, Slack, etc.), and/or Bluebeam/Adobe Acrobat.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record; driving a company vehicle is a requirement for this position.
  • Professional and concise communication abilities.
  • The capacity to listen attentively, follow directions, take notes, seek assistance, and propose solutions.
  • A desire to learn, develop skills, and share knowledge with colleagues.
  • The ability to collaborate and solve problems with others.
  • Composure under stress or when facing challenging objectives.
  • Confidentiality regarding client and company proprietary information.
  • A professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.

The compensation range for this position is: $48.00 per hour.
