Job Summary

Young Life is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Area Director to oversee the operations of several departments providing mission services and facilitating effective functioning of the entire operations segment of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Spiritual Leadership: Provide spiritual guidance and leadership to develop a team in the area to carry out Young Life's mission of introducing kids to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith.
  • Leadership Development: Partner with Regional Director and Committee to cast vision for reaching every kid within the defined area, develop consistent gatherings with committee, leaders, and staff to build unity and provide vision and direction.
  • Resource Development: Provide leadership to the TDS team and committee in finding partners to own the area vision and budget, develop and lead the area's fundraising strategy, and ensure excellence in communication to donors.
  • Direct Ministry: Actively engage in all three levels of contact work, lead or co-lead a model Young Life club, and develop and implement ongoing plans to maximize Gospel proclamation through camping opportunities.
  • Ministry Support: Adhere to all Young Life policies and procedures, manage finances with stewardship, accountability, and transparency, and provide clear, prompt, appropriate, and professional communication to everyone involved in ministry.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
Working Conditions

The Area Director will work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures, dirt, long hours, and physical demands of hiking, horseback riding, boating, etc. The staff person must be able to handle these conditions.

Pay Transparency

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $42,009.00-$52,575.50. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance, and location.
