About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Davis Elementary. As a Teacher II, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education and care to our young students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide instruction and supervision in a safe and healthy learning environment for children.
  • Work in partnership with parents to promote the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of children.
  • Encourage parent engagement in all aspects of the program.
  • Plan and implement indoor/outdoor activities with children utilizing the curriculum, Head Start mandated outcomes, and the Early Learning Framework.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans, provide child-led experiences, and complete observational data entry.
  • Facilitate communication with families to discuss child progress and promote learning.
  • Establish a partnership with families that includes their input and goals regarding their child's development and care.
Requirements
  • AA in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field or 60-credit hours of college-level coursework.
  • At least 1 year of supervised occupational experience working with children in a licensed child development facility.
  • Must be able to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse educational, socio-economic, and cultural backgrounds.
