Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Education Specialist to join our team. As a Lead Teacher for Child Development, you will be responsible for providing support to children in various settings, including intermediate units, public, private, and charter schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide effective management skills and techniques for an Early Childhood age level population
  • Communicate with site directors, administration, fellow teachers, service staff, parents, and guardians
  • Write targeted student progress reports
  • Adapt your area of expertise to meet student learning needs
  • Work with parents and other community members to meet student learning needs
  • Prepare, implement, and record daily lessons
  • Share talents and skills to enhance the student's school program
  • Be alert to individual student learning styles
  • Attend and participate in parent conferences and IEP meetings
Requirements
  • Commitment to the success of each and every student
  • Teaching experience in a public or private school, preferably in an urban setting
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member
  • Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse children and families
  • Associates degree (or higher) in early childhood education or enrolled in a degree program geared to obtaining Child Development Associate CDA with intentions of graduating in four years with a Bachelor's Degree
