Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at The Goddard School in New Market. As a Lead Infant Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for our youngest learners.

Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or a related field, and be certified as a Lead Infant Teacher with the Maryland State Department of Education. Prior classroom experience and a strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices are also essential.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the individual needs of our students

  • Design and implement activities that promote social skills, self-esteem, and cognitive development
  • Ensure compliance with Goddard's industry-leading Quality Assurance standards
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • MSDE qualified as a Lead Infant Teacher (90-hour Infant Certification)
  • Prior classroom experience and strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices
  • CPR/First Aid Certified
  • Strong written and communication skills
