Job Description

Port-O-Call Hotel & Resort is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Office Agent to join our team. As a Front Office Agent, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, handling room assignments, and ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and register guests, assign rooms, and issue room keys or cards.
  • Provide information about hotel services and amenities.
  • Verify customer credit and establish payment methods.
  • Promote and sell guest rooms.
  • Review guest accounts and balance cash transactions.
  • Advise housekeeping of vacant rooms and maintain room inventory.
  • Respond to reservation inquiries and answer telephones.
  • Handle customer complaints and refer to management as needed.

Requirements:

  • Must meet physical requirements and be able to take direction.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of hotel software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Working Environment:

  • Indoor work environment with occasional outdoor tasks.
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals and other hotel amenities.

Reasoning Development:

  • Apply principles of logical thinking to practical situations.
  • Follow standardized procedures and think rationally beyond instructions.

Safety Responsibilities:

  • Learn and comply with company safety rules.
  • Use safety equipment and report unsafe conditions.

Additional Requirements:

  • Fulfill performance standards and comply with company policies.
  • Participate in cross-training and assume additional responsibilities as needed.
