Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Office Agent to join our team at Port-O-Call Hotel & Resort. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, handling reservations, and ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and register guests, assigning rooms and issuing room keys or cards.
  • Provide information about hotel services and amenities, as well as local attractions and activities.
  • Verify customer credit and establish payment methods for accommodations.
  • Promote and sell guest rooms, ensuring maximum occupancy and revenue.
  • Review and balance guest accounts, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Advise housekeeping of vacant rooms and maintain an inventory of room reservations.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Handle customer complaints and escalate to management as necessary.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in hospitality or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of hotel software systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and move quickly and efficiently around the hotel.
Working Environment:

This is a full-time position, working a minimum of 40 hours per week, with a flexible schedule that may include weekends and holidays. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a team environment, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless guest experience.
