Important Note:

We are currently seeking a Guidewire Software Engineer to join our team at A-Line Staffing Solutions, supporting our headquarters with a hybrid work model.

This role will focus on the Guidewire Data Hub, leveraging ETL and SAP technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining Guidewire software applications.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Engage in backlog identification and refinement for both new and existing systems.
2. Collaborate with fellow Application Development team members to estimate, plan, and schedule tasks to meet project deadlines.
3. Document new and existing systems, develop workflows, and create supporting documentation in compliance with departmental and corporate standards.
4. Obtain necessary approvals and consult with production control to prepare programs/systems for implementation; liaise with clients to implement operational programs/enhancements and troubleshoot issues.
5. Review completed code, documentation, and other deliverables to ensure they meet specifications and requirements based on established expectations.
6. Learn, utilize, and enhance system delivery through Agile Software Engineering, DevOps practices, and a collaborative engineering culture.

Essential Qualifications:

- Minimum of 3 years of application development experience, preferably in the insurance or financial services sector.
- Proficiency with Data Hub and SQL is required.
- Guidewire experience is preferred.

Additional Qualifications:

- Proven experience and knowledge in one or more of the following Guidewire-related platforms/tools/technologies: Guidewire Studio, GOSU, Java, Spring Framework, React, Angular JS, JavaScript, SQL, or Hibernate.
- Familiarity with source control systems such as Azure DevOps, Git, or TFS.
- Experience with database management systems, including Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.
- Knowledge of web services frameworks (development or consumption), such as REST or SOAP.
- Experience with unit and functional testing frameworks, such as Junit, Gunit, MSTest, XUnit, NUnit, Cucumber, or Selenium.
- Understanding of object-oriented analysis and development (OOAD), data structures, and relational database concepts.
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
- Working knowledge of data structures and database concepts and practices.
- Familiarity with API platforms, such as MuleSoft, SnapLogic, or AWS.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships and partnerships within the department and across the organization.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to navigate ambiguity.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
