Position Overview:
As a Senior Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant, you will be integral to our innovative cardiac surgery team. Your role is pivotal in enhancing patient outcomes and advancing surgical practices.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead patient care initiatives with dedication.
- Perform comprehensive assessments and document essential health information.
- Make informed clinical decisions and implement necessary interventions.
- Engage actively in daily patient rounds.
- Provide expert support during surgical procedures.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with patients and colleagues.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in endoscopic vein and artery harvesting is essential.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Physician Assistant is required.
- Strong intra-operative skills are necessary for success in this role.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment, including rotating shifts.
Educational Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree is mandatory.
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program is required.
- A valid Physician Assistant license in California is essential.
- NCCPA certification is a prerequisite.
- DEA License and current ACLS certification are required for this position.
