Gastro Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Medical Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and room patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient flow.
  • Update patient medical charts with accurate and timely documentation.
  • Manage phone triage and take appropriate action under the direction of the provider.
  • Demonstrate technical skills when administering treatments and procedures in accordance with physician orders.
  • Provide patient education and personal care to ensure patient comfort and well-being.
  • Process prescription refills under the direction of providers, following clinic protocol.
  • Develop positive interpersonal relationships with fellow clinic employees, managers, and providers.
  • Take direction and initiate actions to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA and state health department guidelines.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 2+ years' experience as a Medical Assistant, preferred.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) certification, preferred.
