Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional to join our team at Community Options. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing person-centered care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Individual Service Plans: Collaborate with our team to create and implement individualized service plans that meet the unique needs and goals of our participants.
- Coordinate Admission and Discharge Activities: Ensure a smooth transition for participants entering or leaving our programs, including coordinating with other agencies and stakeholders as needed.
- Provide Clinical Support and Supervision: Offer guidance and oversight to our staff to ensure compliance with clinical guidelines and best practices.
- Prepare and Maintain Documentation: Accurately and thoroughly document participant progress, incident reports, and other relevant information.
- Facilitate Behavioral Intervention Plans: Work with our team to develop and implement behavioral intervention plans, including routine and emergency services.
- Monitor Medication Procedures: Ensure accurate and safe medication administration, documentation, and monitoring.
- Evaluate Participant Satisfaction: Regularly assess participant satisfaction and make recommendations for improvement.
- Monitor Staff Compliance: Ensure our staff is adhering to plan implementation and licensing compliance requirements.
- Evaluate Staff Performance: Regularly assess staff performance and provide feedback and coaching as needed.
- Bachelor's Degree and Experience: A bachelor's degree and at least two years of experience in implementing community-based support services for individuals with disabilities.
- Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license and good driving record are required.
- QIDP Qualification: Must be QIDP qualified.
- Excellent Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain accurate records.
- Effective Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with participants, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Training in Gentle Teaching Methods: Training in Gentle Teaching methods is preferred.
- Crisis Management: Ability to respond to crisis situations, exercise professional judgment, and use common sense.
- Knowledge of State Operating Guidelines: Knowledge of required state operating and reporting guidelines under OPWDD.
- Residential and Community Settings: Work in residential programs, day programs, and in the community, with the possibility of evening and weekend hours.
- On-Call Requirements: May be required to be on-call in cooperation with other management staff.
- Physical Demands: Frequent lifting, stretching, and other physical exertion may be required, as well as the ability to transport individuals and lift or move 25+ pounds.
