Nurse Professional for Adults with Developmental Disabilities

AHRC NYC is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in Brooklyn. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, with experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate health records, disseminating important health information to staff and families, and training staff in OSHA, first aid, and medication support.

As a Registered Nurse with AHRC NYC, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, with a focus on providing exceptional care to our clients. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing evaluation, diagnosis, and therapeutic intervention in accordance with AHRC and ADS policies, OPWDD regulations, and standards of the professional registered nurse.
  • Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings and annual reviews as required.
  • Supervising staff providing care, including AMAP's and LPN's.

Qualifications:

  • New York State License as a Registered Nurse required.
  • Experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities a plus.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
  • CPR certified.
