Job Overview

Verista is seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing automation solutions for our clients in the life science industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement automation solutions for equipment projects, including PLC, vision, and HMI programming.
  • Lead and perform complex quality checks, requiring an intricate understanding of machine control systems and operations.
  • Contribute to the completion of projects, manage own time on agreed targets, and develop plans for own projects.
  • Monitor, generate, and complete periodic review and validation master plans for the automation engineering program.
  • Responsible for routine and preventive maintenance work, ensuring all equipment and facilities work safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as an Automation Engineer.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required.
  • Proficiency using PC and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Outgoing personality with strong ability to communicate effectively with peers in clear, concise terms.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • GMP/Validation practices.
  • Intermediate skills with WORD (authoring/editing large technical documents with styles, tables, TOCs, track changes).
  • Basic skills with EXCEL and PowerPoint.
