Job Summary:

The Assistant Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring the physical condition of the property is maintained in accordance with company operating and safety standards. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Property Maintenance: Ensure that the physical condition of the property is maintained in accordance with company operating and safety standards. This includes performing routine maintenance tasks, responding to service requests, and ensuring that repairs are made in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Supervision and Training: Supervise and train maintenance staff, including Maintenance Technicians, to ensure that they are performing their duties in accordance with company standards and policies.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in the management of inventory, including ordering supplies and materials, and maintaining accurate records of inventory levels.
  • Safety and Risk Management: Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in a safe and responsible manner, and that all necessary safety protocols are followed.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to residents and other stakeholders, and communicate effectively with maintenance staff, management, and other departments.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Minimum of two to three years of experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trade.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of maintenance operations, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
