Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform repairs and maintenance on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and safety systems to ensure the safety and comfort of our staff and students.
  • Customer Service: Respond to staff requests for maintenance, custodial services, equipment needs, furniture movement, and HVAC.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with third-party vendors for maintenance agreements, custodial services, HVAC large repairs, landscaping, and pest control.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Ensure the grounds are maintained free from litter and debris.
  • Problem-Solving: Assess and repair maintenance issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain files on work orders, proposals, and all other facilities-related files.
  • Event Support: Support school events conducted at the facility and provide needed equipment and set-up.
  • Safety Management: Act as the campus safety manager for traffic and emergency response.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Maintain the Emergency Preparedness program.
  • Administrative Support: Support the Head of Operations on other projects and tasks.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Experience: 2+ years of facilities and building maintenance experience.
  • Skills: Ability to make quick and important facilities-related decisions, work independently, think critically, implement and adjust procedures, be adaptable to change, lift 25 – 50lbs, manage projects and meet deadlines, possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrate problem-solving ability.
