International Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Mid-Level M&E Specialist to join our team at SGI Global, LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert-level monitoring and evaluation services to support the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of African Affairs, Office of Regional Peace and Security (AF/RPS).
This is a contingency-based position.
Duties and Responsibilities- M&E Product Development: Contribute to defining standard M&E products, ensuring consistency with the Evidence Act and FAATA principles, as well as AF/RPS policies and definitions.
- M&E Administration: Develop and administer M&E products in accordance with AF/RPS definitions, in consultation with program managers, policy officers, and office leadership.
- Learning Agenda and M&E Findings: Develop Learning Agendas to inform decision-making, draft Information Memoranda, and track M&E findings/recommendations against key questions that drive decision-making.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Conduct monitoring to determine whether objectives/sub-objectives are on track, providing real-time feedback to program managers on required adjustments, and collect and aggregate indicator data.
- Evaluation Services: Conduct project evaluations for key projects identified by program managers as critical for decision-making or office learning.
- Country-level Assessments: Conduct country-level assessments to inform subsequent program design and decisions, including development of program logic for new projects or refinement of existing ones.
- Credentials: Master's degree or equivalent with five years of relevant professional experience, or Bachelor's degree or equivalent with seven years of relevant experience, or High School diploma or equivalent with eleven years of relevant experience.
- Requirements: SECRET Security Clearance or ability to obtain one before onboarding, at least three years of professional M&E experience, and four years of experience in multi-tasking complex projects requiring interpersonal and customer service skills.
