Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced International Humanitarian Communications Specialist to join our team in Washington, D.C. as a resident position. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing narratives, content, and engagement strategies to advance ICRC's positioning, influence, and engagement objectives on key thematic and programmatic areas of work.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Create and coordinate the roll-out of integrated strategies to publicly profile ICRC, working closely with relevant team members at the delegation, regional, and global levels.
  • Act as a spokesperson for the U.S. and Canada, providing information on the ICRC's activities and humanitarian concerns.
  • Develop compelling public messaging/narratives and media/public relations partnership opportunities to proactively position the organization effectively with key audiences around designated priority issues.
  • Oversee the preparation of well-written, targeted public communications materials and products.

Salary: $115,350.00 - $130,450.00 per annum, depending on experience.

This is a full-time position based in Washington, D.C., requiring frequent travel to New York. We offer a competitive salary, benefits package, and exciting professional development opportunities.
