Position Summary

The main responsibility of the Asset Protection Specialist is to safeguard company assets by ensuring adherence to internal control protocols and regulations through thorough inspections and oversight of designated personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular patrols and observations in key areas:
    • Main entrances and surrounding areas
    • Restrooms as necessary
    • Perimeter of the facility
    • Fueling stations
    • Property boundaries
  • Act as a mediator in resolving customer disputes
  • Ensure safety and security by monitoring the premises, utilizing surveillance systems, and inspecting access points
  • Mitigate losses by documenting irregularities and informing violators of established policies
  • Manage traffic flow by directing vehicles
  • Prepare detailed reports by documenting observations, incidents, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; and obtaining necessary signatures
  • Maintain operational standards by overseeing building and equipment controls
  • Uphold the organization’s integrity and reputation by adhering to legal standards
  • Contribute to team objectives by achieving related goals as required
  • Ability to work during peak business hours
  • Willingness to follow a rotating schedule that includes both day and night shifts
  • Consistently demonstrate regular and punctual attendance
  • Complete tasks efficiently and effectively
  • Engage professionally with fellow team members
  • Thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment
  • Adapt to perform additional duties as business needs evolve
  • Ability to fulfill essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in retail, customer service, law enforcement, or loss prevention is advantageous
  • Must possess a valid Peace Officer license
  • Capability to walk or stand for extended periods (8-12 hours)
  • Frequent physical activities including bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting (up to 40 lbs. or more)
