Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Information Security Engineer II to join our team. This hybrid remote position requires the candidate to report to our office two days a week and work within a 50-minute radius from Temple, TX.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure information system security controls are functional and properly implemented.
  • Coordinate protection of information technology assets against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction.
  • Provide consultation to management regarding all areas of information technology for proper controls and implementations related to identity management.
  • Lead and coordinate information technology threat research, analysis, collection, training, and reporting.
  • Monitor the work of other team members.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of experience working with Security Administration across Mainframe, Unix, Linux, and Windows environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in security tools and technologies such as Firewalls, IDS/IPS, next generation AV.
  • Familiarization with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) technologies and tools.
  • Familiarization with Endpoint Detection and Response technologies and tools.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols, operating systems, and scripting languages.
  • Understanding of Security Frameworks and Regulations such as NIST, ISO 27001,27002, and HIPAA.
  • Experience in Incident Response.
